This project was the culmination of a semester's worth of work. It consisted of a study of movement through swarm analysis of three very prominent animals in the Serengeti a place located in Kenya. Combined along with a precedent study of a preexisting library and analysis of our site the steps in translating this information into a building started. Through pattern making and further analysis this idea of movement and concept of a swarm translated into a building. The building itself took on properties of the swarm and new properties began to emerge as well. In the end the building to me symbolized a study of movement and compression and tension through patterning.
